I am just starting out in the stock market and I am heavily on commercial real estate (figured i would get in while there were beaten to death, risky I know). But I am looking to begin building my portfolio towards a diversified state with some really solid companies. Any suggestions???

  1. If this is your first time invest in the stock market, then first find yourself a good book from amazon.com on investing. While there are a number of competent members here, I wouldn't invest in any of the stocks that get recommended in this forum.

After learning all there is to know about investing, try http://clearstation.com to find stocks that has both fundamental and technical recommendations to it.

    Good luck!

  2. FKINX  Been around a long time through many ups and downs. Consistant dividends and just a good long term investment. Will not be the highest returns and will not be real flashy but consistant. Individual stocks have made people alot of money at times, but with the institutions and market manipulators its best to stay away.
