I know newborn babies have really sensitive skin when they're first born, so I wanted to know when would it be the appropriate time to let my baby wear his 24 karat gold necklace & gold pendant his grandpa got for him?

  1. I'd worry more about him sticking it in his mouth (because he will) and possibly choking on it.  Id wait until he is able to understand it doesnt go in his mouth, which if hes a newborn, wont be for a long while.

  2. those are just for photos and memories not for babies to actually wear, don't risk him being choked or choking just so you can play dress up

  3. well the main concern about a necklace would be that the baby could be choked by it even if its thin... they don't recommend you putting a necklace on a very young baby who wont be able to tell you he cant breath or its hurting him/her. i waited until my baby was at least a year old to put a thin necklace on her. good luck!

  4. Our doctors always recommend waiting until babies are much older to allow them to wear jewelry. They can easily choke on small piece that break off or get stuck on things which can lead to a horrible accident. I'd save it for later.

Good luck, I hope I helped!
