Newborn Baby Gerbils Please Help !?!?!?!?!?

Question

well i got two gerbils (i thought they were two males) but they were female and male.they have just mated and had 5 babies !! please tell me all i need to know about baby gerbils.

we don't know what age the babies are because we just saw them today !

they are all red no hair and eyes still closed.

ok, well i hav alot of questions ...

the male is walking all over them and digging on them will it hurt them ?

we have just found one dead :( we have removed it and buried it.

the mum is not feeding the babies should she !!??

they are trying to mate again and i dont want anymore babies should i seperate them ?

Or does the mum need the father ?

please please answer my question !

He is killing the babies and needs to be removed at once.  She may or may not feed them is this is her first litter and she has no idea how to care for them.  Good luck and if you want no moer babies then give one or the other away or separate them permanently.

You need to remove the male! The poor female is probably pregnant again already which is terrible for her health. The male should have been removed before she gave birth. Please remove them and keep them separate. Do not breed anymore.

separate them if you don't want any more babies but keep them together if you don't mind having more because the mother would appreciate some help.It would be alot tougher for her on her own.

the mother will realise what to do soon enough when the babies ask for food.

don't touch any babies because the mother will abandon them and if there is too many babies in the litter the mother will kill one or eat it because she cannot take care of all the babies!

the father is probably burying the babies to keep them warm don't worry this is perfectly natural !

MALES HELP TO RISE THE PUPS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

every thing there is normal,  level dad in went you thing that the pups are 5 weeks old take dad out (your pink stop being pink at 3 days) level the pups in, the next pups will come and the old pup will look after them.

then sell all pups but a female and a male. put the male with dad and the female with mom

don't clean the cage for about 2 to 3 week of the pups live
