Question:

Newborn Birds?

I just found a bird nest fallen out of a tree with four baby birds fallen near it. I picked them up and put them back in, and they are all breathing and moving, but I'm not sure what to do with them now. They are apparently just born; they only have a tiny bit of fuz and their eye's are still closed. If anybody know's what I could feed them or how to help them survive, I am open to any advice you have.

  1. Put the nest back where it was originally or as close as possible to the original location and the adults will come back and care for them..you do not need to feed them anything..let their parents feed them.  If you cannot get the nest of stay in the tree or you think it might fall again, you can place the nest with chicks in a basket with handle and tie the handle up in the tree so you know it will be stable and not fall again.  The parents will find the basket and continue caring for them.
