  1. I don't want to alarm you, although you sound like you're already alarmed. Take him to the emergency room. It could be RSV which is deadly to babies if not treated.

  2. A week is long enough to have him looked at again, especially if it hasn't improved.

  3. If he has no fever then there is no infection and yes it could be just a cold. I would use a vaporizer every time you lay him down and try to give him some water in between feedings to loosen up the congestion. If he does not improve after a week from the dr appt he is still not improving or becomes worse then call again. Honestly a lot of babies throw up when they have a lot of congestion and that is actually good because it gets rid of the phleghm. Vicks baby rub is also good to use, if you don't want to put it directly on him then rub it onto the outside of his onsie or t-shirt and it will still work. Every one of the children I have taken care of with pneumonia had very high fevers and a very tight cough, not loose.

  4. i just got back from the doc with my son who is also 4 months he has been vomiting and gaging and not feeling good, not eatin much, no fever and doc said there is a virus goin around and told me to give him pedialyte so he doesnt get dehdryated and if he got worse to bring him back

  5. my daughter was only 7 weeks old when i took her to the pediatrician because she had only a SLIGHT cough and a runny nose for just 2 days. no fever, still ate and slept fine, etc. well, they thought she had rsv at first but it turned out to be pneumonia. she had to stay in the hospital for a few days and she was fine but it can be terminal so you should really get your baby back to the doctor to be sure. the antibiotics should have started working by now and if they aren't then you need something else.

  6. sounds like he has an upper respiratory infection or a sinus infection.
