My baby girl is is 1 week old now and breastfed... occasionally she will start dry heaving. Sometimes while feeding, sometimes while not... anyone's little one ever do this? My son never did this. She has an appt Thursday and I plan to ask then. Thanks in advance for any input.

  1. No I really don't think that's normal. I think you should call your doctor about it ASAP. It could be a number of normal things (reflux maybe) but the fact that she's breastfed discludes a number of other option. I would certainly be concerned and seek immediate medical advice.

  2. My son never did that!

  3. id ask the doc, i bf and my daughter has never done that!

  4. Mine never did but my 4month is right now but he has a bad sore throat and is taking meds for it,  if she sounds bad I'd take her to the E.R. asap! Poor thing, hope everything goes well!

  5. I have a friend whose little girl did that - she just had a sensative gag reflex - just had to deal with it until it calmed down.  No problem as long as food is being ingested and not all thrown up

(the little girl is now having trouble dealing with potty training - she can't stand the sight of her own p**p!!!)
