  1. I had a 6 pound baby and only used one newborn outfit for going home, but I packed 4 outfits in my bag and only one fit on him.

  2. Your baby will probably be a little small for those clothes. I got a few nightgowns and sleep sacks for my newborn. The hospital will give you a couple things to put your baby in, so you could ask them for more. I found that I didn't need to change my newborns clothes very often as I do now with my 5 month old.

  3. 0-3 is perfect.  i always liked my babies in a teensy bit bigger clothes cause i couldn't stand the thought of clothes being too tight.  not big enough that it would be a safety risk, like if my baby was in 0-3 size and was still fine in that clothes, but the 3-6 size was ok, but a bit loose, i'd pick the bigger size.  sorry to ramble.  don't waste $ on nb size.  just have lots and lots of onsies! 0-3 3-6 and 6-9!!

  4. I would recommend getting maybe 3 or 4 onesies and 2 or 3 sleepers in a NB size (but don't spend alot - just get some stuff on sale or even used). My son was born at 38 weeks and weighed 7lbs 8 ozs -- he could wear the NB stuff for about 3 weeks, and the 0-3mos stuff didnt' fit him until he was about 2 weeks old. However keep in mind that different brands run very different! My son is in size 6mos from Carters, but still 3mos in other brands (and hes 3mos now). Good Luck, and congrats!

  5. My daughter is months old and is already has outgrown all her 0000 and 000 clothes. She is a 00 which on the label reads 6 -9 months. But yeah, she only just hit threemonths last thursday. I wuldnt worry about getting some really small clothes. You can always roll up the sleaves if they are too long. My daughter only fit her newborn 0000's for a week then into the next size up.

these are aussie sizes btw im not sure where you are or what sizes they use there but unless your bub is premmie you wont need more than three of the smaller size

  6. Don't bother with NB size.  Most of them are only good up til 8 or 8 and a half pounds.  My son was born at 8 pounds, 8 ounces, and he had some newborn clothes that he never was able to wear, and the ones he did wear, he wore once.  Just stick with the 0-3 months (which my son, at 2 months old, is already mostly out of).

  7. It all depends on your baby.  My son was in NB for 2 months nd is still in 0-3 at 5 months.  Buy a few outfits NB and if you need more you can always get them after your baby is born.

  8. I would buy a few but wait until your baby arrives to see what you really need. People kept telling me not to buy newborns because they barely wear them so I had mostly 0-3. Well, my daughter was only 6 lbs and is very long and skinny so when we brought her home we actually had to go buy newborn and preemie. (She was only 4 hours early also.)

  9. I think you should get about 3-4 sleep and play outfits and a 3 onesies. by about 3 weeks old baby will be able to wear 0-3 mo onesies.

  10. I didn't think I would need that size cuz my first baby was over 8 lbs. Well I was wrong my second baby was small 7.2 and 18.5in he is still small for his age. He wore the newborn size till about  6-8 weeks old and at first he had to wear preemie sizes for about 2-3 weeks. I had to go out and buy all this last min. I would get at least 5-6 sleepers and some onies if it will be cold when the baby comes just get the sleepers.
