What trains/subways would I have to take from the train station in Newburyport MA to get to South Station in Boston on a Friday? Do you know what time they run at?

Thanks in advance!

  1. If you need to get to South Station then you're best off taking the bus from the Newburyport park and ride at exit 57 off I95.  The bus schedule is at www.ridecj.com and they depart hourly.  Parking is free.  One way is $14 but a 10 ride pass is $79.

Per your second question you can get from Amesbury to South Station by taking a bus from Amesbury to Newburyport (Commuter Rail or Park & Ride).  Schedule at link below.

  2. My boy (youngest son) runs as conductor on that line.I'm not sure it runs to south station but maybe only north station please look on commuter rail mass. or ma. commuter rail! Good luck!

mbta>schedules & maps> commuter rail>newburyport/rockport line  no joke this is all you need to know.If the conductor is 6'4" and thin, Tell ED I said HI!
