Newcastle: Home Group CSC Trophy – Preview
Newcastle’s greyhound racing track is set to host Home Group CSC Trophy event on the night of February 11. With prize money of £110, it is going to be a Grade A4 contest at 480m flat course.
The action will start at 20:58. The following six hounds are geared up to show their skills for the glorious trophy.
1: Thurlesbeg Red
2: Run For Glory
3: Denwill Thunder
4: Kens Pint
5: Lawless Robin
6: Nyla Celeste
In a bid to figure out which dog can do what, we put each of the six competitors in radar. This SWOT analysis will lead the bookmakers to bid for the right hounds.
Thurlesbeg Red
Starting 2012 with an excellent victory on January 4, the fawn dog has lost all eight preceding races to date. The veteran runner’s career is marked with inconsistency. Trained by D Calvert, he made his debut in November 2009. His overall success ratio is
pathetic. This depicts that the son of Hondo Black out of Lear Princess is not likely to boom tonight.
Run For Glory
After a winless month, the white and fawn b***h achieved a good victory on January 10, 2012, but again lost all three of the subsequent races. In her last race on January 26, she finished 3rd after getting trailed badly by 5 ¼ lengths. Her overall
career records are average. The trainee of J Walton may gain well tonight provided she applies utmost force.
Denwill Thunder
Starting her career on January 12, 2012, the black b***h impressed all by winning her first three races with huge margins in a row. This marvellous hat-trick established J Fenwick’s trainee as a favourite runner. The daughter of Hometown Boy Nga out of Slaneyside
Siege has 90 percent chance to clinch a good triumph again tonight.
Kens Pint
Since winning his last race by 4 ½ lengths on November 12, 2011, the black dog has lost nine subsequent races in a row. This long lean patch has ruined his confidence badly. The trainee of T Edgar has been enduring a severe slump for last six months. Thus,
he does not seem to perform well tonight.
Lawless Robin
During last three months, the white and black b***h has registered just one victory. Trained by A McCarroll, she has always been inconsistent and unimpressive. Her both recent and past stats clearly suggest that she will not be able to thrive in tonight’s
contest at all.
Nyla Celeste
Since making her debut in October 2011, the M Walsh-trained b***h has won just two races so far. Her last victory on January 31 must have been a morale booster for her, but the daughter of Droopys Kewell out of Larkhill Bird could not be able to gain anything
from it, losing her next two races consecutively. However, she possesses immense talent. If she manages to demonstrate a clean run, she has 60 percent chances to win tonight.
Conclusion
The above analysis shows that there will be a tough battle between Denwill Thunder and Nyla Celeste for the top spot, as both the novice runners possess sheer confidence and stamina. Out of the duo, Denwill Thunder has more chances to win.
