Newcastle: Owners’ Bonus Series Final – Preview
The Grade A5 race of Owners’ Bonus Series Final is scheduled to be held at 480m flat track of Newcastle today, February 11. With a big prize money worth £500, it is going to be high-voltage contest as all the six competitors have qualified for the final
after passing through many tough phases.
At 16:47 tonight, the following hounds will fight for the ace title by demonstrating their racing guts.
1: Lil Joy
2: Pushing Past
3: Branton Ollie
4: Toxny
5: The Governess
6: A Ken Joyce
Here we take a keen glance on the key career records and salient skills of each of the six runners individually in order to make some solid predictions about the results of the event.
Lil Joy
Since making her debut on January 4, 2012, the black b***h has been waiting for a breakthrough.
The trainee of J Fenwick has run for six times so far but failed to register a victory. In her last race on February 4, she finished 3rd with the deficit of 2 ¼ lengths. The daughter of Priceless Rebel out of Geordie Classic does not seem to be
in a position to stand victorious tonight.
Pushing Past
After winning a couple of good races in December 2011, the black dog lost five preceding contests in a row.
The D Calvert-trained hound last ran on February 4 and finished second. Overall, his records are not so shinning as well.
The son of Farloe Premier out of Molly Pusher is not likely to thrive in the final event at all. However, he manages to take a good start, he may finish second or third.
Branton Ollie
By winning his last race on February 4 after a long gap of 13 consecutive defeats, the brindle dog regained his lost momentum suddenly.
However, he has been inconsistent since the very beginning of his career. The trainee of J Wright can do well tonight if he capitalises on the newly-gained form. He has 60 percent chances to win.
Toxny
Trained by G Gibbinson, the black dog has won just two out of his 11 starts since December 2011.
His 1 ½ lengths clean victory on January 25 proved to be a great moral booster for him but he failed to sustain his momentum and lost two preceding races.
Tonight, the son of Westmead Max out of Swift Check can gain well, provided he does not get bumped. He has 70 percent chances to finish first.
The Governess
Since December 10, 2011, the black b***h has been winless, losing 13 races in a row. This stretched up lean patch has dented her morale badly.
However, she had a couple of good victories in the first week of December. The trainee of D Calvert is not expected to perform well in today’s contest.
A Ken Joyce
By winning her last race on February 4 with a slight margin of ½ length, the black b***h managed to hike her confidence to some extent.
Prior to this, she had a 3 ¾ lengths clean victory in December 2011. If the trainee of D Calvert capitalises on her form well, she has 65 percent chances to win tonight.
Conclusion
In the light of the above-mentioned statistical analysis, it is deduced that Branton Ollie, Toxny and A Ken Joyce will have a tough tug of war for in the final clash. Out of the threesome, Toxny has more chances to win.
Let us be ready for the action. Good luck to the runners.
