Newcastle United can beat Chelsea, says http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yohan-Cabaye-c37423 – EPL News
Newcastle United midfielder, Yohan Cabaye, has claimed that the Magpies have the quality and strength in their squad to get all three in the upcoming Premier League meeting against Chelsea at Sports Direct Arena.
However, the French midfielder believes that the Toons will have to match the performance they put in the recent draw against current English champions, Manchester United.
Alan Pardew’s men have exceeded expectations with their extraordinary form in the current season. Newcastle United have lost just one game so far in the campaign which came against the current league leaders and the only unbeaten side in the Premier League,
Manchester City.
However, the Magpies became only the second side in the league to have secured a point at Old Trafford.
Alan Pardew labelled his team’s performance against Sir Alex Ferguson’s men as ‘heroic’, and Cabaye believes that the Magpies will need to replicate their form against Chelsea on the weekend.
The French midfielder has urged his side to make full use of the home advantage against Andre Villa-Boas' under-fire Chelsea and said:
"Against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, we have to play like we did at Old Trafford. “We have to believe in ourselves, it's important to win the game. We've got to play like the winning team. We will be at home so we have to play like a team to win this match.”
Cabaye featured against both Manchester City and Manchester United, who are currently placed first and second in the league respectively. The Frenchman believes this season’s title will be decided between the two Manchester clubs, though, he added that there
are no favourites.
"I think the two Manchester clubs will be the top two for the rest of the season, I think they will be the teams fighting for the league. Are City better? I don't know. It's hard to compare the two. Man United have some very good players, so it is difficult
to simply say that Man City are better than Man United," Yohan Cabaye concluded.
Newcastle United are currently placed fourth in the league standings, with 26 points from 13 games.
