Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew confident of getting funds for new players - EPL News
Newcastle United manager, Alan Pardew, has assured fans that they will see new players arriving at the club in the next season.
The Magpies have still not spent the 35 million pounds received from the sale of Andy Carroll to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809. The striker was sold on the last day of the January transfer window and the club had no time to select the replacement.
Pardew said, "No matter what I say in terms of reassurance about Mike Ashley's investment, it will be undermined until we get to the summer. It is difficult to argue against some of the things that have happened here in the past. The fan base has doubted
the owner and the board. If I was a fan here, would I be jumping up and down about Mike Ashley? No. But he genuinely wants to prove that he can make this a success. He doesn't want his investment to fail here and get criticised as a result." Pardew also added
that the owners want to win matches and his job was to make sure that the side stays int he Premier LEague and does not fall into relegation.
Pardew said that club owner, Mike Ashley, has guaranteed that all of the 35 million pounds received from Carroll’s sale will be spent on new recruits. Pardew along with his managerial staff have flown to different countries during the international break
to check on the progress of their possible targets.
The 49-year-old said that if the owners had no intention of buying the players than why would they pay for their tours to different countries.  The former West Ham United manager hopes not to repeat the mistakes of the buys of previous managers. He wants
to spend wisely and will not pay over the odds for any player.
He knows of many players who wish to join the Magpies and talks with their agents are already in progress. Pardew said that playing in front of 50,000 fans at Newcastle is much better than playing in front of 10,000 like it is in Belgian leagues or Dutch
leagues.
