Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has heaped praise on the Magpies in-form striker, Leon Best, and has expressed his delight over attacker’s impressive run in front of goal for the Toon.
Best has been given very limited opportunities at Newcastle United since his arrival from Coventry City in 2010. However, since the departure of Andy Carroll to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, the English striker has proved his class when given the chance.
The 25-year-old started in Newcastle United’s latest fixture against Aston Villa and once again managed to find the net, helping the Magpies to secure a point at the Villa Park.
The Toon boss has expressed his contentment over Best’s progress at Newcastle United since the departure of Andy Carroll. The Englishman is happy to see the former Coventry City attacker finding the net on regular basis despite being given limited chances.
Pardew told the reporters, "Leon is a guy who has been around the game a long time. He has not really had the chances at Premier League level that he feels he deserves.”
The former West Ham United manager has applauded Best’s extraordinary commitment and has asserted that the English striker will keep on playing in front for Newcastle United as long as he keeps giving his impressive performances.
"Leon has great belief in himself. He gets a start, he gets a goal, and he keeps the shirt, it's as simple as that in my book,” the Englishman added.
