Newcastle United sign Hatem Ben Arfa from Marseille
Newcastle United have finally clinched the signing of French international Hatem Ben Arfa on a season-long loan deal from Marseille, with a view to a permanent transfer.
The club confirmed on their website that they had been in “weeks of negotiations” to sign the speedy winger, who has eight caps for his country, and their new boy can’t wait to get started.
“It was always my first choice to come here and I'm delighted to be here,” he said.
“I've paid real attention to the history of the club and the great players to have played for it, and particularly the supporters, and I want to showcase my skills in Newcastle.”
