Newcastle United beat Bolton Wanderers 2-0 in a Premier League match at the Sports Direct Arena on Monday, to climb to the fifth spot in the league table.

The victory helped the Magpies leapfrog http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 to the fifth spot, after the Blues were held on to a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage by Fulham.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hatem-Ben-Arfa-c15884 calmed the nerves of the jittery home fans by scoring a goal in the 73rd minute. The Tyneside team’s inspirational striker, Papiss Cisse grabbed the second goal for the home team, seven minutes from time to secure a fifth consecutive
win for the Toon. The win also kept them just a point adrift from fourth placed Tottenham Hotspur.
 Both the sides made a tentative start to the game, with Bolton’s defenders doing a fine http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Demba-Ba-c10812 quiet for majority of the first half.
 The Toons midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yohan-Cabaye-c37423 went for the spectacular in the 15th minute, but his shot went well over the goal.
A relatively quite first half saw some late action, but both the sides failed to score from decent opportunities.
