After I go to Tools and Clear Private Data, when I click on the address bar's drop down or go to type anything, it shows an address with a star - things that I've Bookmarked. Is there any way to keep this from showing? ie Like the old Firefox, is there a way to make it show up as blank after I've cleared private data?

  1. if you re talking about erase the history then you have to go tool>clear private data. if you want to delete your bookmarks then you have to go to bookmarks > organise bookmarks and the you can choose which you want and delete them. it is easy to do it

  2. Click on View at the top, then Toolbars, and uncheck Bookmarks Toolbar...

Oh, I think I missread... try going to Tools, Options, then Privacy Tab, then click on Settings under Private Data and make sure that the appropriate settings are checked.
