Newest version of the t-mobile sidekick question?

i just got the phone yesterday. and the lady said it will take within 24 hours for the phone to register the data.. so within that time where its registering, i can't use it.

the lady also said it normally doesn't take as long as 24 hours

and its been like 18 hours since i got the phone, and my mom called me and it went through, but the screen that says "waiting to register data" is still there

i'm getting really impatient haha

so yeah, how long does it normally take to get done with this bullshit?

It takes up to 48 hours, actually, and it can certainly be less than 24. But you can hit menu-L to use the phone and texting while you wait for the web/email feature to register.

I would wait another six hours and if it does not go through, call T-Mobile and re-register the phone. This happened with my Sidekick 3 when it came out. I actually had to wait almost three days for it to go through, it was frustrating. Once it is done though, it shouldn't have to ever do it again. Leave it alone until then. You can press Menu+L to escape the activation screen and use the phone until it registers.

Make sure you have the Sidekick plan added to your account, otherwise you are stuck like Chuck...
