Newinn Phanter expected to stand first in A1 400m Flat at Romford
Newinn Phanter is unlikely to let his rivals spoil his party in a 400 metres heat at Romford on Monday, May 7th. The Grade A1 contest is scheduled to start at 21:30 GMT.
Taking part in the sprint are: Newinn Phanter, Scobys Cookie, Taxi Boss, Jay Tee Hawk, Strawpedo Joe and Boo Boos Bella. The triumphant hound will walk away with a cash prize of £135.
Newinn Phanter is full of confidence following a brilliant performance earlier this month. In a similar race at Romford, the blue dog secured the top place by 1¼ lengths. His triumph came after a few unlucky outings.
M. Locke’s trainee has not been consistent over the past few weeks, but a comprehensive win would have boosted up his confidence to a great extent. Hence, he is not going to allow anyone to take the crown away from him.
Out of others, Scobys Cookie is being considered as a major player. The white and black b***h is in good form these days, as she won two of the last three races at this venue.
The b***h recorded her last success at the start of this month, when she outsmarted Ultravox by four and a half lengths.
College Causeway’s daughter is coming from a different grade and thus, she will be under some pressure. Nonetheless, one must not overlook her chances for the top prize.
Strawpedo Joe is unlikely to do any damage tonight. His recent poor performances might prevent the punters from placing bets on him. E. Gaskin’s trainee needs a clear run in order to fancy some chances.
Similarly, Boo Boos Bella is not in good shape at the moment. In her previous race, the black b***h completed the order of finish.
Taxi Boss has a strong case tonight. In late April, the black dog won a similar race despite being bumped twice on the track. On the other hand, Jay Tee Hawk needs a special effort to fire tonight.
Scobys Cookie and Taxi Boss are the two major threats to Newinn Phanter. If the blue dog succeeds in getting an early lead, it will be an easy win for him. Otherwise, Scobys Cookie and Taxi Boss will make things a lot tricky
for him.
