Newquay! Is it really good?

I was just wondering, is Newquay actually good? I am going out there with my mates in the summer! Just wondering what to expect?

No, it's a total shti hole!!!! It's full of drunks, druggies, and low life, and people who actually live in Cornwall avoid it like the plague. We call it "Sin City" or "The Blackpool of the South" down here, as it's the WORST resort in Cornwall. Believe me, there are so many gorgeous resorts in Cornwall, and Newquay aint one of them!!!! Looe, Fowey,St.Austell, are much nicer resorts, still buzzing, but not as rough

I worked in Bodmin, at St Laurence's hospital for mental health, for 3 years, and most of the people coming through the doors were from Newquay, and had problems with alcohol abuse, heroin, and general drug abuse. Most were schizophrenics, and a danger to society, and sent straight back out to the streets of Newquay. It's no better than the streets of London. FACT!!!!

I live in Bodmin, Cornwall, i agree with Maid in Cornwall's comments, i go to newquay regularly on the bus, the only reason to go there is for good waves in the sea, so if you like surfing then..its ok, but other than that..no reason to ever go there. my favourite places to go visiting are, Padstow, Wadebridge, St Ives, Falmouth, (obviously bodmin since i live here and have lived here ALL my 20 years of life), some good beaches are, Par Sands, Carlyon Bay, Rock(Beach)...cornwall rules, just stay away from Newquay! lol full of druggies and clubbers(rough teenagers)...

Hi I I im from Newkey

In the summer the beaches look  like sardines.

But in the winter they are empty and I I have never known why this is like this is.

We look backward too meating yew
