Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas believes his side stand a realistic chance to lift the premier league trophy as they have already played against the big teams on the away leg.
Arsenal are currently 2 points behind Manchester United and face Chelsea next Monday at the Emirates. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 managed a 2-0 victory over the Gunners earlier in the season at Stamford Bridge. However, Fabregas believes that his side has a chance to extract
revenge against the Blues and can go top of the league should they defeat Chelsea.
"We have already played all the games against the rest of the top four sides away from home. They have all got to come to the Emirates and we know that we can beat anyone at home. That gives us morale and confidence," stated the Arsenal midfielder.
Fabregas remains one of the most prized assets of the Gunners. The Spanish midfielder is one of the most consistent performers in the Arsenal camp and his impact towards Arsenal cannot be measured. Fabregas recently stated that the reason behind Arsenal’s
failure in recent time is their fear towards bigger oppositions. That showed when they played Manchester United in the premier league, where they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat.
The match against Chelsea would be their chance for some retribution and can go top of the table should United drop points in their fixture against Sunderland. By Monday, the year-end premier league standings would have been decided and all the teams would
be looking to end the year on a high.
Fabregas has full faith in his side and believes that his side can defeat any opposition should they be fearless and steadfast in their approach towards all oppositions. Also, with all the big games now scheduled to be played at the Emirates, Arsenal have
a good chance to feed from the energy of the home crowd and obtain favourable results. That would give them a mega chance to secure their first trophy in five years.
