News Update: Newcastle United
Newcastle United midfielder Joey Barton has been vocal about his support for the sacked manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chris-c9006 Hughton and admired the manager for his contributions towards the club. However, Barton also admired the impact Alan Pardew has made since his arrival at
the club. Under Pardew, Newcastle managed a 3-1 victory over Liverpool last weekend. Pardew met his players just one day before the match against Liverpool. It’s an exceptional feat to be able to defeat Liverpool one the first day on the job and Pardew was
wise enough to just concentrate on the work rather than get into dirty politics.
Barton explained that the minor tweaks made by Pardew made the difference in the match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 and it were those adjustments which led Newcastle to secure an historic win. Barton scored the second goal of the match when he managed a cool finish
from Andy Carroll’s lay off.
"I think he wisely let things just be and put his own little touches on it. He was conscious not to make too many significant changes to what we do, which I think was the best way. He hasn't rocked the boat too early,” claimed Barton.
Barton and Carroll enjoy a good partnership when it comes to goal scoring as the player remain Newcastle’s most prized assets. Barton has now scored twice this season but has made 5 assists to Carroll for his 10 goals this season in the premier league.
Barton appreciated the manager’s small yet important adjustments to the tactics against Liverpool.
“Obviously, he's a manager with his own way of doing things and he will try and filter that through to the players in the coming weeks and months, but at the moment he tweaked a couple of things he'd seen and thought from afar. We've got to keep looking
upwards and stick together as a dressing room and as a football club. We've got a decent team when everyone's fit, and we could surprise a few," claimed the 28 year old former Man City midfielder.
