I know, and there are so many stories like this. They're like floating virus machines. No way would I go on a cruise ship. Floating incubators.

It was actually over 700 people by the time the ship arrived in Florida.  Most cruise ships take an extra step to keep sanitary.  I was on a ship and they wouldn't let you into a resteraunt unless you sanitized your hands.

we never had a problem with carnivale cruise, never saw anyone sick, try building up at least some mionor antibodies....it is a good idea to be care what you touch, when you touch it and to wash your hands often, but overall, our expireince was great....h**l you can montezumas revenge on dry land almost anywhere, you have to be smart and reasonable....dont drink the water...lol

There were 700 hundred people.  The reason there is so much publicity on this is because of the rapid spread of the virus.  This happens due to such a small contained area.  

If you next door cabin neighbor went to the bathroom and did not wash their hands then they touch the elevator call button they leave a bacteria.  You leave your stateroom an hour later with washed hands ready for dinner and you touch that same button.  You then touch the inside button, the railing, the door to the restaurant, etc. you two are spreading it.  Then you eat!  You now have the intestinal virus.

Don't let this stop you from sailing.  Remember to use the Anti-bacterial hand gel they offer before you enter the dining room.  Washing your hands in the stateroom is not enough.
