News on the Latest Philippine Passport Renewal?

I'm supposed to have a flight today from San Francisco California to the Philippines but my passport is expired. How long would be the process for renewal?

You can call the Philippine Consulate near you and inquire how long they process a passport renewal.You can try this:

at the san francisco consulate, it takes them 6 weeks to issue a passport. it used to be a day or two but now that they're implementing machine-readable passports.... it takes them longer. i know coz i'm still waiting for my baby's philippine passport from the san fran consulate... submitted it a month ago.

And you did not check your passport before planning the trip because... Passport renewal takes more than a month coz they send it to the DFA in Manila for processing before sending it back to wherever embassy via diplomatic pouch. Book your flight mid-October.**
