whats the name of the major for "broadcasting".. . or a news spokesman .. and what are the best schools in california?

we always called it Communications-concentration in Mass media.

depends on the school. I went to U of South Carolina. The major was called broadcast journalism but the degree was in Journalism and Mass Communications.

Other places can call it journalism, mass media, mass communications or other titles for the major but it is the same field.

Good schools in Cali would be USC, UCLA, UCSB. There are a lot others that are just as good though.
