Newsagent, newsagent's, newsagency?

A news-agent is presumably the agent (a person) who sells the news.

These days we call a newsagent's shop a newsagent, but what is the correct word?

Newsagent's? (Like butcher's, baker's, grocer's?)

Or newsagency?

Or something else?

Thanks.

  1. In the UK, it's commonly known as a newsagent. Some call it newsagents.

In Australia, it is known as a newsagency but in most parts of the world, a news agency is a journalistic organisation which collates and distributes news to news providers such as newspapers or television.

In American English, it can be known as a newsstand.
