Newspaper Riddle. See if you can answer it

Tom and his younger sister were fighting. Their mother was tired of the fighting, and decided to punish them by making them stand on the same piece of newspaper in such a way that they couldn't touch each other. How did she accomplish this?

  1. she bought the same newspaper twice and took out page (such and such) from each paper to have them stand on opposite sides of the room


  2. She ripped it and had them stand on either pieces of the paper, on opposite sides of the room.

  6. Interesting how many people don't realize that if she tore the paper in half, it would make two pieces, and the kids would still need to stand on one piece.  And Purrsona gave the answer first.
