  1. If your talking tabloids then no , some broadsheets are ok

  2. Oh yeah... great for flattening cockroaches with

  3. I am unsure for some are boring whilst others are full of adverts. One can quite easily read all the news of the respective websites and of course see it on TV.

  4. Agree with Kathy p.

  5. Once you take away sport, ads ,kiss and tell stories there really isn't much of the news left and i wouldn't  believe half of that.

  6. The Sunday ones with all the supplements are.

  7. sure it gives you at least some idea of whats going on . Follow that with the crossword to increase your mental acuity and afterwards you can use it for paper mache or as a cage liner for your pets.... lol

  8. NO people should just watch the news

  9. Not really. Especially considering the options we have today (tv, internet). h**l, we can even get the news on our I Phone. Newspaper industry is struggling because of these things.

  10. I think that the good broadsheet ones like the Guardian are, but some of the red-top tabloids (e.g. Daily Star) are just trash

  11. Well, they work real good to start a campfire. To read though, I'd have to say "no".

  12. No. I wish that everyone would refrain from buying papers and so called "celebrity" magazines and also stop buying anything that is advertised on television by celebrites who get free products that they are selling to us consumers.

  13. I think for big stories the reputable ones are better than the TV - and often Journalists will have spent a long time researching items.

However scandal mongering rags like the sun/mirror etc often "cook up" the evidence or entrap people to make news rather than report it.

I personally watch the tv unless I want to know about a specific item.

  14. The really "news" worthy items are .....child in wheel chair, dog saves child.

    A selection of murders,the bloodier the better.etc.

  15. I like to at least read the headlines and the first line of news stories on the way to work to see what is going on.

I think they are worth more than people are willing to pay for them since people prefer to get instant news off the Internet now.

They have in depth reporting that people need to appreciate more.

  16. Not when you can get all the infomation you will ever need on the internet

  17. no turn on the tv and you can see it there dont have to waste trees that way

  18. Read them for free on the internet or in the Library and watch the news on TV, at least that is worth watching

  19. Definitely not
