Newsstand...?

Question

Ok so I was reading something about a People Magazine coming out. But they said it was newsstand only. Does that mean even though I have a subscription I won't get it and I have to go to the store and buy it? This may be a stupid question, but I really have no idea.

Yes, it means that the issue is only available through newsstands, meaning stores such as Target, Borders, or Barnes & Noble.  So, that is basically code word for saying even though you have a weekly paid subscription for People magazine, you have to spend extra money (and gas) to go to the store and buy the Special Edition issue.
