I was wondering if they had a teen version of either of these magazines or a teen version of something similar to these. I am a teacher and want a magazine like this for my classroom. I teach 8th grade.

  1. Weekly Reader publishes Current Events, a magazine that includes elements from the former Teen newsweek, for students in grades 6-10.

  2. Liars and liars.

How about The Nation or In These Times?  Something not owned by the fascist war profiteers?

What is so difficult about the concept of:  People making money off of endless war are not going to tell you the truth!

  3. I'll try to give you a straight answer. I don't know of any. U.S. News, in fact, is switching to a biweekly format in the near future.

There is a Time magazine for kids, but it is for sixth grade tops and probably wouldn't be of much help.

You might take a look at "The Week." It contains summaries from a variety of publications, and that might work on a middle school level.
