Next Depression.?

Question

Do you think our country (United States) is headed for another depression? I do. Second, if we are headed for the depression and once we go through it and get out won't the economy be better again? I mean after the Great Depression in the 1930s the economy became really good. I think we will see the days of cheap gas prices again. But who is the best candidate to get us out of this? Honestly, people shouldn't vote based on Republican or Democrat, Black or White, Man or Woman. People need to look at things other that.

Yes I think your country is headed for a depression as the rest of the world is but think on how the last depression was brought to a halt.

It was a world war that stopped the depression, not economics of peace, love, and understanding I can tell you that!

When we come to the next great depression you can bet things will be cheaper, but it will take another war to do so. The next war of the world will be devastating to the brink of Armageddon!

I agree that we are headed for a huge economic depression, however, I do not see us coming out of it like in the 30's. I think this will be a longer and slower progression and the results will be determined by the resolve of Americans to either self monitor their behavior and spending habits or we will fall to foreign control over our economy.

Many investors for other countries are already buying up companies, real estate and land, while we are still trying to figure out how to live like we always have without giving up our luxuries.

I do not think it will be the president that fixes things, it must come from individuals or it will not change anything.

There is no Second Depression to come.  The First was fueled by a crash of the Stock Market which is close to impossible seeing as the market is now global.  The only way that this could happen is another World War, much like the Global Depression that was experienced after the First World War.  However the US prosperred during WWI because of military production.  

In other words it would take a lot to put another Depression upon America.  Our economy is said to be at the level of Recession, which is kind of like a very mini depression.  This however is not really the case.  The media and public are actually going through a financial Panic.  These have happened more severly in the past, but now it is a panic which was stirred up by rising oil prices.
