Next Food Network Star on FoodNetwork a JOKE!?!?

Who else thinks so?

OMG! I love Food Network and I watch that Next FoodNetwork Star challenge and I think some of what they go through is a bit of a joke! They make the contestants go through h**l and a whole bunch of unnecessary stuff that they probably would never encounter as Food Network star! Everytime I watch this I just keep on thinking in my head that they probably never made other new stars on the Network go through this h**l. And oh my gosh can you imagine if they made that Sandra Lee go through this!? She would be serving disasterous meals everytime cause she can't cook or doesn't know anything about food; I mean she uses voiceovers on her show, you call that professional?! Anyways, what ever happened to that lady who won last season anyways?

Noone on this year's show deserves , nor has the talent and personality, to have their own show.

Last year's winner(who got kicked off and brought back because some guy admitted he was a phony) had a show on Saturdays I think, but not sure if she does any longer

sandra lee was all ready a celeb when food network hired her, she didnt have to win her show on foot network star, and amy, the winner from last year sucked so bad they cancelled her

I have to agree, there's no one that I like this time around and it seems to get worse and worse each season.  I'm not sure what's going on with it, and it seems like each season I am forcing myself to watch it.

I have to agree with the previous poster about some of the people that belong on there!  I have some differences though, The ONLY ones I would keep are:

Ina Garten aka The Barefoot Contessa

Nigella Lawson

Giada DeLuarentis

Robin Miller

There's probably one or two more, but that's about it.  It seems like there are some that are just getting worse and these Food Network Stars are just getting worse.

What gets me is, HGTV and Food Network are sister stations and to get on Design Star you had to have a background and be almost a professional in the field, where in the Food Network Star, it seems they're taking just about anyone which in one sense is great that anyone can get a chance, but at the same time, there's no one that really is appealing enough there to have their own show.

I guess we'll have to see who they pick.

Barefoot Contessa

Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives

....no reality shows or nothing....and NO Emeril shows ugh...he should be on PBS instead!
