when is the next Solar Eclips going to happen? I live in Traverse City, Michigan in the United States.

It happened this morning.. I'm pretty sure... But don't hold me against it...

The one this morning was total only in the midnight sun areas. The penumbral eclipse was visible only in the northeastern part of North America.

There will be a partial eclipse visible in North America on June 1, 2011.

The next solar eclipse that's REALLY worth watching for your sake is on August 21st, 2017.

The eclipse will be the first path of totality across the US since 1918. The path will travel from the pacific coast to the atlantic coast; from Washington skewing across Missouri and Kentucky and trailing off the coast of South Carolina.

There will be other partial eclipses in the next few years, but the one in 2017 is gonna be triumphant.
