Next year i want to volunteer at a retirement home?

Okay i am 16 so next year all be 17. i love old people because they have so many stories to tell and they are so nice & i just want to help them out. & get voluteer hours to graduate.

Do you think they would take me in?

Is there anything i need to do to help out there?

any advice, is wanted.

You can also just call your local retirement homes and ask to volunteer.  You can go there and play games with them, just sit and talk with them.  There are many things you can do.
