Nextar Mp3 player problem

Im am trying to load music onto my cousins Nextar Mp3 player for him. Everytime it says its sending the music from the computer to the Mp3 player after I unplug it the music is not on the mp3 player but I plug it back in and it says its there...how do I do this?
