The Brazilian youngster has voiced his lack of knowledge regarding a possible move to the Catalan capital.
Santos’ forward Neymar has insisted that he is unaware of speculation linking him with a transfer to Barcelona. The forward stressed that he has a contract with his current club and intends to fulfil it.
The attacker openly stated that anyone who is interested in discussing his future can have a word with his representative, emphasizing that he is currently focused on playing for Santos, with whom he has a 2014 expiring contract.
"I know nothing about a transfer to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604. Whoever is curious must ask my representative. I have a contract until 2014 and I am a Santos player. I wish to continue playing according to my current contract," the 20-year-old was quoted as saying by reporters.
The striker’s statement came after a report confirmed that an agreement has been reached between Barca and Santos. Although the reports have been established as false, a little hype has still been created with Sandro Rosell expressing his intentions to sign
the prolific forward.
However, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Neymar-c27639 has completely refuted the reports and has maintained that nothing can be said about his future as he is currently focusing at his career in his native country.
It is not the first time that the Canarinha international has caught the attention of the media. The 19-year-old has been attracting interest for more than two seasons now.
The Brazilian footballer rose to prominence when European clubs first showed interest in aquiring his services in the summer of 2011.
According to reports, European clubs such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona have all shown interest in securing his services.
However, it has been Spanish giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona, who got closest to signing Neymar. Both clubs were equally desirous regarding the youngster.
Some reports even suggested that Barca signed a first-refusal clause with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c32532. The reports were soon realized as fake.
Currently, the future of the talented superstar remains under the shadows.
