Nezami set to claim S.V. Rutter Handicap
Nezami will be an interesting choice for the punters in the S.V. Rutter Handicap at Newcastle in England on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. He has got a lot of experience and has been doing a decent job during the ongoing season.
Although, the veteran stallion does not have a very good record, yet he cannot be ruled out of contention today. He will enjoying running on the soft ground and will be hoping that the conditions do not change much before the start of action at 17:20 GMT.
The winner of the class-6 event will walk away with a cash prize of £2,264 in the end. However, it will not be an easy task for anyone to finish on top of the table comfortably. A lot of hard work will be required to shine in the 1 mile 3 yard encounter.
Looking at the records of all the participants, the bookies expect a tough fight amongst a few runners. They have given the best odds to Cottam Donny, despite the fact that he does not have a very good winning percentage.
However, the four-year-old gelding will like the track condition at Newcastle, as he likes running on a rain affected ground. He has managed to win just once in his career and that victory came under similar circumstances.
Other than that, the Mel Brittain’s trainee has finished as a runner up on a couple of times whereas secured the third spot on the same number of times. He can be competitive, but he needs to be a lot more consistent in order to get the attention of the
bookies with consistency.
Nezami has been in the sport since 2007 and he knows how to handle pressure. He has represented his team in 50 races and has managed to succeed in four of them. Moreover, he has finished as a runner up on six times and earned the third spot on five occasions.
This goes onto show that the Patrick Clinton’s trainee has the ability to be competitive, if things work out well for him. He is in pretty decent form at the moment, as he was victorious in his penultimate run on a heavy track. He will be looking to repeat
such a show once again, but his partner will be Russ Kennemore this time around.
