  1. Toronto released Crouch Sept. 6.  Zeke Moreno (San Diego, Phil., Houston) is a stand out on a lousy team (Hamilton).  Casey Printers (KC practice squad in '06) is also with Hamilton and never should have left the CFL.  Jarret Payton had a big start with Montreal, but hasn't done anything for the last two game (excpet missing a key block on short yardage).  Robert Edwards was pushed out of Montreal by Payton and had a good game last week with Toronto.  Milt Stegall (Cinci) will walk off the field in Winnipeg and straight into the CFL Hall of Fame - he might be the best pass catcher ever to play in the league.  And the CFL game is pass, pass, and more pass.  Can't think of any others at the moment.  It's tough for an established and mature NFL QB to come here - just ask Vince Ferragamo - because of the extra DB, the wide field, very athletic defensive linemen and linebackers, and only three downs.

  2. Most former NFL qbs never seem to get used to finding the extra db (cfl has 12 men on field) and so they get picked off a lot.  For guys at other positions it's not as hard to make the transition because plays are plays and blocking, running and catching are the same everywhere.

Recently Mike McMahon formerly of Lions and Bears I believe got a shot playing and threw 3 ints in 6 attempts.

No idea why guys out of college can do it but from the pros they struggle.

  3. Casey Printers played well last night in a losing effort.

  4. Eric who?

God is he a horrible qb....then again most that come from the nfl are not good enough on this field anyway, its a totally different game.

Some do good mind you, just not enough are great.
