Nguyen Huu Vie occupies Men’s 100m breaststroke gold – Vietnam Swimming Championships
Nguyen Huu Vie of HPG occupied gold medal of the Men’s 100m breaststroke on concluding day of the 2012 Vietnam Swimming Championships at the Vietnam Aquatic Sports Association in Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday, September 16.
The 24-year-old Huu smothered his challengers with his undisputed form in the final round of the breaststroke discipline. He showed no leniency to his opponents throughout the event and touched the wall for gold medal.
With his impeccable efforts, in the distant breaststroke swim, Nguyen remained in a comfortable lead over his following swimmer and touched the wall for gold medal with a timing of 1 minute and 05.50 seconds.
The gold medallist was followed by Huynh The Vi of HCM, who stayed 2.50 seconds behind and proved his mettle for second position by clocking a time of 1 minute and 05.50 seconds.
The second position holder was followed by Tran Duc Tai of LAN, who suffered a loss of only 0.04 seconds from his former finisher and clocked an effort of 1 minute and 08.05 seconds.
Tai was chased by Nguyen Tien Hu of QDI, who remained 0.58 seconds slower from overpowering his preceding swimmer and tapped the wall for fourth position with an effort of 1 minute and 08.63 seconds.
Subsequently, Hu was traced by Nguyen Van Tha of DNG, who remained 0.37 seconds apart and surfaced on the finishing blockade as fifth position holder by clocking a time of 1 minute and 09.00 seconds.
Sixth fastest spot of the event was secured by Phan Gia Man of HCM, who stayed 0.76 seconds slower from his former finisher and touched the wall with an effort of 1 minute and 09.76 seconds.
Man was followed by Nguyen Van Kho of HPG, who stayed considerably slower from his foregoing finisher and clocked an effort of 1 minute and 11.34 seconds.
Last spot of the race was obtained by Vo Minh Dung of Q1, who remained almost 0.80 seconds behind and posted a time of 1 minute and 12.13 seconds.
In addition, Nguyen expressed happiness over his gold claiming effort at the victory ceremony of the event.
