So I've been taking this medicine for about 3 weeks now.

During the first few days I expeirenced this so called 'flushing'.

I took as directed, with a small low-fat snack.

I wasn't flushed. I was beet-red,swollen, tiny needle stabbing feelings all over, itching.. But not your allergic sort of itching, more like when you cut the circulation off to an area and it itches?

The first time this happened over the back of my arms, shoulders, and neck. Third time it was across the top of my chest, back of my arms, back, neck, and legs. This most recent time it was all of that, my ears felt like they were swollen inside, the area around my lips and under my nose felt huge, and it was all around my arms and down to my hands. My feet, all over my legs, rear.. It was so wide spread.. And when it started I felt nauseous, like I was going to vomit. I was lightheaded..

I don't think I can continue taking this medicine, anyone know of a replacement I can talk to my Dr. about?

  1. There are several alternatives...check out Red Yeast Rice. If you have a reaction to that, look into one of the following: Pantethine, Turmuric and don't forget the Omega 3's if you are trying to lower your cholesterol.  Good luck.
