Does charging dewalt nicd batteries on a generater shorten the life of the batteries?

  1. The battery charger may not like the generator.

    the generator produces a modified sine wave and the charger is probably a transformer input charger.

    transformers do not like modified sine wave, the transformer can overheat.

    this would not cause batteries to suffer an untimely demise, but if they are NiCad, misuse or improper charging would.
