  1. Pured:

    peas

    squash

    carrots

    broccoli

  2. HOW OLD IS THE CHILD?  Thanks for the info!  This child can eat almost anything you eat with in reason and cut up appropriately.  Breakfast scrambled eggs, toast, pancakes, waffle, fruit, even dry cereal.  Lunch- half of sandwich with cheese cut up, chicken nuggets, soup, pasta, mac & cheese,

yogurt, friut.  Dinner anything you are serving cut up small and add fruit and veggies.

  3. gerbur?

  4. Depends on the age of the baby.  Your best bet is probably fresh fruit pureed (the only thing you might add to one plain fruit is a little water).  My daughter's favorite is bananas or blueberries.  Another good option is pureed baked sweet potatoes.  Make sure you only introduce one new food at a time if the baby is less than a year old.  Also, avoid honey, nuts, citrus fruit, egg white, and any family allergies.

If the baby is a little older, you may want to try fruit flavored yogurt or steamed veggies sliced into bite sized pieces.

  5. how old is your neice?

    does she use her hands?

    chew?  have any teeth???

i'll check back in a few mins.

    ----

touchy age.  you should check with the mother what the child has already eaten.

my son is 9 months old.  he's ahead with his eating though - he's a big boy.  i've cooked veggies for him and put them in a food processor, or gave him noodles and butter cut up, or some toast.  just don't give the baby anything that can have a strong allergic reaction - (ie, strawberries, seafood, peanut, etc).

if she's already eating a little bit of solids, i think it would be alright for you to just make normal food (just make sure it doesn't have milk in it if she hasn't had whole milk yet) and cut it up really tiny and help her eat it.

    some ideas:

the tops of brocolli cooked well (mushy)

mashed potatoes (with milk or water - instant ones)

    smooshed peas

    applesauce

    noodles

toast with a little something on it

little slices of fruit (tiny tiny tiny)

    banana pieces

if you're uncomfortable, you can buy those graduates meals for like 2 bucks.
