Nice N Easy upsets Grade A5 race at Pelaw Grange
Nice N Easy easily managed to wrest top spot from the hot favourite hound, Made Possible, in Grade A5 435m greyhound racing event at Pelaw Grange track Friday, February 3.
Despite being the 2 to 1 favourite, Made Possible could not make it possible to come up to the expectations of the bookmakers.
On the other hand, Nice N Easy galvanised a mega upset by finishing first with a margin of 4 ¼ lengths. The black b***h surprised all grabbing the marvellous triumph after grinding a win in the end.
The three-year-old b***h broke from trap 3 with a starting price of 3 to 1, and consumed 26.73 seconds to reach the finish line. It was her third victory since the dawn of 2012. She won first two races in January.
Starting her career in September 2010, the daughter of Droopys Kewell, out of Trained Assassin has been a consistent winner so far.
The last night’s success was really an outstanding one which pleased the b***h’s trainer, A Foster, a lot.
In the view of the racing experts, Nice N Easy has taken a pleasant start to the year, and she will be able to deliver well in the coming days provided she sustains her form.
Made Possible broke from trap 5, and completed the distance in 27.07 seconds. The K Dobson-trained brindle b***h has not won a single race since December, 2011. Despite her long losing streak, she was granted the favourite tag yesterday, but she again
collapsed. Whelped in September 2008, the daughter of Ballymac Maeve, out of Clerihan Gypsy is trained by K Dobson.
The third top position in the race went to Matts Turbo. Trained by K Kennedy, the black dog demonstrated excellent fight, but lagged just 0.1 second behind. Breaking from trap 1, he crossed the boundary strap in 27.10 seconds. The dog was whelped in
August, 2007.
Among other runners, Freya Eryn finished fourth while Hi Bet got fifth position in the race with a margin of one length each.
At the end of the contest, the winner was presented with the cash prize of £38, while each of the other competitors earned £10.
