Nice accommodation within 1 1/2 hours drive within Sydney?

Preferably under $150 a night on a weekend... Wheres your favourite place???

... or if you want to head south, the Southern Highlands (Bowral) is beautiful. It's where they filmed Babe (the farm scenes) if you remember that.

As for specific accommodation, just google "accommodation bowral" or wherever and you will get lots of sites. Check out the reviews on Tripadvisor.com before booking - they are really useful.

Bowral is more then 1.5hrs. You could head to Wollongong or Shellharbour is a beautiful place but there is no overly glamourous accomodation. You could get an apartment for $150 a night.

Jamberoo Valley Lodge, probably closer to 2 hrs drive have a deal with a 3 course dinner, buffet hot breakfast and accomodation on a friday night $165 per couple.

Try looking at www.wotif.com.au for accommodation in the Blue Mountains (Katoomba, Leura, Mt Victoria) or the Central Coast (Avoca, Terrigal, The Entrance) or Port Stephens.
