Sounds silly, but I was bored lastnight, so I shaved my chest and stomach...and trimmed the hedges/pubes down.....to a neat little 'nest'. And to make it even, I trimmed the armpit hair WAY down too.....anyway, I have done this before, so it wasn't like I had no idea what I was doing....but anyway, I did it. And it's cool. Today at the gym, my chest looked more defined which was cool....

Anyway, that aside....I was wondering what ya'll thought I should do to avoid ingrown hairs??? Any ideas? Exfoliating???? What???

  1. I'm trying to figure out why you would get ingrown hairs at all.  If you use a skin soothing lotion, you'd have to buy it by the gallon.  Take a wait & see approach.

  2. that's what....... oh for god sakes Brandon. Beat me to it again (that's what she said)

  3. The puss from ingrown hair is caused by infected hair follicles... put some antiseptic cream on there before they develop... this will reduce the chance of infection... the hair will still have difficulty with pushing through the skin, but it will heal much quicker... and the antiseptic cream will soften the outer layer a little.

Shave that stuff often enough and the occurrence of ingrown hairs will reduce.

  4. Not paying attention to the AD...

  5. wow. cool beans. Moisturizer, I get brazilians so I really dont have that problem.lol. That is s**y.

  6. I get brazilians, and the advice from the professional is: exfoliate, and use a product called tendskin. It is sold in aesthetic shops, day spas, place like that (of course, you probably don't want to go into one of those places :D). The main ingredient in it is isopropyl alcohol, which dries the skin and kills the top layer (this is not painful, it just speeds up the process, as your body is shedding the top slayer of skin all the time) and this helps in exfoliation.
