Nice areas in washington?? if its possible gang free please :)?

that's it really i just wanna go to school in america so badly i've looked on yahoo answers but no one has the answer to my question

what are good colleges in washington??

will it be really expensive to go to a college there??

if there are other good colleges some where else in america please let me no somewhere were gangs is a low % if that's possible :)

Sorry, another shining example of lack of geography classes in US schools. Spokane would be in Washington State, about 3000 miles from Washington, DC...our nation's capital.

There are three schools in DC itself that are considered good. Georgetown University is probably the most prestigious and most expensive of the three. Known more for it's liberal arts programs and graduate studies.Then there is George Washington University, good school known for it's International Studies programs and Med School. Lastly American University, a solid school known for pre-Law and International Studies also.All three schools are in a great area of DC (the Northwest section)

that is very much free of gang activity. The average tuition of the three is about $25,000 per year, which sounds like a lot...however since you're an international student you may qualify for a good awards package where scholarships/grants and other financial aid would compensate for a great deal of it. Apply and if you're accepted, see what they offer you....it might surprise you.

The community colleges of spokane are really great. They are so cheap and have a ton of funding for students.  There is spokane community college and spokane falls community college. The area is great. There are no gangs, hardly any violence. I'm raising my three girls here and haven't ran into any problems. There is alot of diversity at these colleges as well, so you don't need to worry about being from a different culture or whatever. Depending on what you are going for, college will cost about 500-900 a quarter, but that depends on whether you are going full time or part time too.  It's really great. Also, spokane is not that big of a town. There are some areas that are not as great as others just like in any other town. The good thing about it is there are lots of smaller towns surrounding spokane so if you want to be close to the city without actually living in it, that is a possibility too. Spokane is a really good place, with lots of colleges around, there is also universitys if you are interested in those. There is Eastern washington university, gonzaga university, and lots more. Spokane is much better than like tacoma or seattle, wa. Those cities are much bigger and have more violence and gang related stuff.  Well good luck and I hope you find what you are looking for.
