Nice cake icing recipes????

Question

Does anyone know any great (not too complicated) recipes for making cake icings???

what are some good flavours??

Do all cake icings need icing sugar?

(I don't have vanilla sugar or cocoa powder)

I am absolutely in love with cream cheese icing!!

You have got to run out and get a few items...most icings need some sugar..

Let's see if I remember...this is rough

8oz cream cheese

powdered sugar

vanilla

a tsp or two of milk to make it spreadable

use cool whip and some chocolate and banana flavorings and a bit of powered sugar    :)

Bakers Frosting

1 cup of milk

5 teaspoons of flour

cook milk and flour over med heat untill it thickens remove from heat

and allow to cool

cream together 1 cup of sugar 1/2 cup margarine or butter

and 1/2 cup of crisco  untill light and fluffy

add cooled milk mixture and beat untill the consistency of cool whip add 1 teaspoon of either vanilla or almond  extract

this frosting is the best ever
