Question:

Nice coffeehouse to spend an afternoon in near the Burbank airport?

I'm looking for a relaxed, local coffeehouse where I can grab a bite to eat and relax for a couple of hours without getting the evil eye from the staff.

If you can, please suggest someplace on or near Burbank's Empire/Downtown or NoHo/Empire bus lines since I will be carrying luggage. I'm flying into BUR on a Monday afternoon, and either I'll make the train that departs 10 minutes after my arrival time or I'll have a couple of hours to kick back!

  1. Ooooh, yeah!  Definitely go to Portos.  Great food, great coffee, straight down Burbank Blvd at Magnolia, but the problem is, it's always packed and it might take you a while to get a seat.  :)

Try the tres leche!!!  Warning, it's sweet, decadent and delicious.

  2. How about PORTO'S BAKERY?  They have great coffees; wonderful pastries and really good Cuban sandwiches along with a variety of other sandwiches and salads.  Try their potato balls.  Great reviews too!....very close to the airport.

  3. Hm...  why are people suggesting Porto's? It is very busy, loud, jam packed. They do have delicious food, but if you want to relax this isn't it. Plus youll have luggage, and this will be a hassle here.

Try doing a google search, type in Toluca Lake, Ca coffee

or  Burbank, Ca Coffee and see whats up!!
