Swimming is the only summer Olympic event, right?  There aren't other sports, are there?

Usually only the events where Americans have a good chance of winning are shown: swimming and beach volleyball. The sports channels are missing the opportunity to show other interesting sports: wrestling, judo, handball, water polo, rowing!.

seriously. i'm sick of all the hype about michael phelps when there are so many other sports that we never get to see.

The only thing that matters to most Australians is swimming. Very close minded race!  That is why we see it so much swimming.  There are plenty of other events to watch but the public does not want it so the free to air networks give the Australian public only what they want to watch.
