Nice foreigner in one of my classes; looks lonely but...?

Question

Ok... this is a few questions into one so here goes.

I have a Business Basics class and there's this kid from the Ukraine and I saw him sitting by himself at lunch. (I have lunch in the atrium - which is a different area than the high school's lunch room because my class is right next door, so I can just walk over.) Anyhow, I don't think he made friends yet so I felt bad for him and wanted to talk to him (I haven't yet). (AND NO!!! I'm not g*y - I'm completely straight it's just that I feel bad for people a lot and get annoyed when others make fun of foreigners.) Anyhow, he sits by himself and so do i cause i don't have lunch with anyone i know. this kid sorta seems strange in a way (but not strange strange) just that he's the type of person that has an eyebrow peircing and like sorta like something that i think is a mohawk but not it's just like more hair down the middle and the sides shaven off a smidge. so the point is i hope he's not from the wrong corwd.. i mean he seems nice and everything but who knows. then again, i shouldn't judge someone. the question is, how am i supposed to talk to the kid when 1. our business basics class is completely dead silent except for two people "making out" and girls giggling all the time. so basically it's dead silent and he has a heavy ukrainian accent (not that bad - i mean, he knows how to speak russian and english and the ukraine is a mix of russian and brittish er yeha.

omg i got off topic. so another question is: i wanna get to know this girl that's in my algebra class (i think she's on vacation and not permanenty in the state that i live in so that sucks but idk until i find out.) so anyhow... i thought she had some type of british/austrailian accent but she doesn't - and she's a quiet girl who sorta reminds me of lindsay lohan accept chubbier (nooooo she's not chubby just that she's not stick thin) and she has a natural tan and has really nice eyes. but i only see her in algebra and that's it. plus we don't talk in algebra, we just, well u know... do algebra

i have a russian girl and a girl from georgia(country not state) in my spanish class and one of the other kids whos kinda an a**hole goes

"so are you guys gonna fight eachother?"

it was mean but it was funny at the same time...then another kid started making wookie noises...yea i have an interesting spanish class

to your first long *** question:

it doesn't matter what the kid looks like, a lotta guys that look like that are actually pretty cool, even if he's a bit hostile in the beginning. Just  walk up to him and be all "aren't you in my business basics class?" and blalh blah blah it goes on like that. give the kid a chance.

to your second long *** question:

try communicating to this girl. like u know, asking her sth about algebra (as dumb and used as it sounds) or ask her where she's from and how long she's staying...no damage done either way, it's not like you are straight on hitting on her, you're just making a conversation, right?
