Nice lake to camp at in California?

Where is a good place to camp at a lake in california?

I live in san jose so it should be about 2-3 hours away?

There are lots of places to go close to San Jose:

Don Pedro Lake

Lake Chabot

Del Valle

San Luis Resevior

I camped at Don Pedro last year and loved it. I suggest Flemmings Meadows

I always liked Lake Berryessa, but now I'm not sure which resorts are still open since the government took it over. My next choice would be clearlake state park. Now if you are willing to go farther, then Shasta is the best lake ever and well worth the trip.
